I was able to install it following the readme. it worked fine until I restarted my PC. after restarting and opening it back up, i then got the message about the license server. then prompts you that autocad is closing.

I am facing it too. 'Network License not Available'

Run the medicine file again like you did the first time you installed this sometimes resolves the issue

I used to have this problem, I have tried to solve it in the following ways, now I no longer get the "Network License Not Available" error, but can't determine how long it works.
1. Go to Task Manager, End Task all lines related to Autocad...
2. Use the firewall to block the file "aCad.exe" and 1 file "adskflex" as shown below.
3. Run the activation file again "AdskNLM.exe" and wait for the message panel to finish > Success.

Note: Do not turn off the firewall during use.

I have tried to install a lot of versions of AutoCAD - 2022 or 2023 - from here and any other sites. I have experienced problems to install. Never finished or error during install.

After a few experiences I understood some things:

1. Always Install from iso mounted disk. Never extract. Just mount or record DVD and install;
2. Turn off the Internet. In the installation process the software connects to Autodesk servers and create a few problems to this or future installations;
3. Follow the steps inside Readme.txt. (All the time without internet connection);
4. Turn on Internet and start AutoCAD to install language pack, if you want;
5, After install language pack, Turn off internet again;
6. Run Windows Firewall or Third Party Software like "SimpleWall" (I use this because my OS is Windows 11 without Windows Defender by FBconan) and follow this tutorial:

5. Restart Windows;
6. Start AutoCAD and enjoy.

After running the setup.exe file and choosing the english language i get an error message " cannot find the specified file ...../updates/SetEn.exe

New guy late to the party, super propz to OP for the time of a share. TY!

Update: As luck would have it my 2018 version was flagged today. The 2023 install was real easy and blocked the ACAD and adskflex.exe files as mentioned above. Did a restart and on opening CAD again, got the 'Network License not available' message. Went to the task manager and see there are license manager files still active. Checked the file path location and these are copies of the license manager .exe files in separate folders within the Network License Manager file. They are located in two numbered folders (##.#.##) within the NLM file. Added these files to the firewall block and re-applied the medicine, have done a couple system restarts with CAD opening properly so far. Really appreciate the share and the member posts. TY!
