FreeTube is a YouTube client for Windows, Mac, and Linux built around using YouTube more privately. You can enjoy your favorite content and creators without your habits being tracked. All of your user data is stored locally and never sent or published to the internet. FreeTube grabs data by scraping the information it needs (with either local methods or by optionally utilizing the Invidious API). With many features similar to YouTube, FreeTube has become one of the best methods to watch YouTube privately on desktop.

How does it work?​

FreeTube uses a built in extractor to grab and serve data / videos. The Invidious API can also optionally be used. FreeTube does not use any official APIs to obtain data. While YouTube can still see your video requests, it can no longer track you using cookies or JavaScript. Your subscriptions and history are stored locally on your computer and never sent out.

EDITED: All Links updated now. i am trying to provide users an folder per file view to save on bandwidth and download only specific files according to their OS rather than downloading full zip package. but that seems premium feature.
