Need Help With Ram

Hey Guys....My computer only reads as 10gb instead of 12gb for my ram but I use a 8gb DDR3 1600 and a 4gb DDR3 1600 ram

32 bit or 64 bit computer??
Its working the way it should but best not to mismatch coz you will use 2 gb..
Best to always pair for dual channel to work..

in Bios how much ram its showing.
Are u using any graphics card
10gb it shows in bios or in the os.

also check in msconfig - Start-run-type msconfig-Advanced Options and make sure 'Maximum Memory' is not ticked

Update BIOS

Try interchanging the ram slots.
Do Cmos reset.

what type of Ram u got. i mean CL9 or CL11 or 1Rx8 or 2Rx8

Thanks for the reply guys.. I've fixed the problem

I'm using a A-Series procie in which had a built in graphics which is why it ate some ram even though I had a GPU installed
so what I did was I disabled the on-board graphics in my BIOS then restarted then POOF....fixed
