Do More with Storyboards and Animatics
Storyboard Pro 6 has new and enhanced drawing tools that feel natural, give you an enviable level of control and are combined with everything else you need for storyboarding and animatics creation -- all on a rotating canvas that never gets in the way of your creativity.
Textured Vector Brushes
Explore more styles with beautifully textured brush strokes. The bitmap engine that drives these superior quality brushes has been redesigned to enhance quality and complement the flexibility of Toon Boom vector technology.
Create rough sketches, build up lines like you would on paper and clean up drawings with a brush that feels like the real thing. Iterate and experiment more with our flexible vector toolset to capture the artistic look you want.

You can already move, scale, rotate and recolor vector brush strokes in Storyboard Pro. With the new Centerline Editor, you can now effortlessly reshape brush strokes on the go. Reusing the same artwork for different poses with a few small adjustments speeds up the entire drawing process.
New Video Tracks and Movie Support
In Storyboard Pro 6, you have all the crucial elements – drawings, camera moves, images, sound and now video content. Develop storyboards and output animatics that tell the whole story, without using other software.
Use new video tracks to make better storyboards and animatics:
- Import reference video and time actions and set key poses.
- Add opening title sequences or movies of finished scenes to video tracks in your timeline.
- Use video or images to trace characters and props, as the background across multiple panels or even as key elements in the scene.
- Reduce the risk of error during the conform process by doing all your animatics editing, including the video content, in Storyboard Pro.
When you want to reuse walk or run cycles, cycle through and stamp drawings like mouth shapes or create effects that follow a pattern, Stamp is your go-to tool. Now pressure sensitive and with new parameters to modify angle, size, spacing and more, the Stamp tool makes it so much easier to create natural-looking patterned effects or reuse your cycles in different scenes.
3D Models for 2D Scenes
Reduce complexity and the time it takes to use 3D models for props and sets in 2D storyboards. In Storyboard Pro 6, you can import a 3D model, position it, take a snapshot and add it to a layer in your scene. Take as many snapshots as you need without ever leaving Storyboard Pro.

Multi-Panel Templates

Simply save the panels to your library as a single template, and then drag the template into a storyboard - it’s as easy as that. You can also create multi-panel templates to version a scene when you want to creatively iterate and experiment to develop the story.
Merge Updated Drawings with no Impact on Timing
There are often be multiple team members working on a storyboard. Storyboard Pro 6 streamlines collaboration by enabling artists to easily merge updated drawings from one version of a storyboard into another without changing the timing. This speeds up collaboration, especially between editors and artists during this critical stage of pre-production, as well as helps everyone working on a storyboard and animatic be more efficient.
