I imagine that this app needs a lot of memory to repair large files so have you disabled your virtual memory (paging file)?
If your app is exceeding your physical memory (RAM), then it may crash if you do not have a paging file.

my computer has 16GB RAM (enable virtual memory also), i used 3.5.3 trial version and can repair video successfully but not able to save (yes, that's trial version)
i think this version (and previous ones) has bug itself, not because of the Medicines
