It's an ISO. You need to open it in Windows Explorer. PC should be with internet off and disable anti-virus scanner while the software is being installed.

I had the same issue with both 2023 and 2024 programs of adobe. Started with photoshop and from there every other program started shutting down. I believe is a change they made after 2023 version and I am currently testing 2022 since i used to not have a problem back then

That's lucky. I have a 2020 version of MC and the activation is kaput. Somehow Adobe managed to find a way to get access to the installation to run a check. Sneaky.
Once Digital ID is in place and AI has the ability to issue fines (as in automatically deduct the fine from your bank account) then piracy will likely be over (if no work around is found that is).

So I finally got around to checking things out and what do you know the cracked install still leaves a number of Adobe updater services running! Mine is "Adobe Master Collection v9 EN-RU August 2020 Preactivated [TeamOS]". I assume this has been fixed in newer releases. But here are the steps I took and so far MC2020 is back up and running. Caveat: early days so can't guarantee this will be a permanent fix, just wanted to post it here before I get busy with other things.
Disable the following:
- Adobe Update Service
- Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Service
- Adobe Genuine Software Monitor Service
Add ".disable" to the end of these folders
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\ARM
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeGCClient
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory
Hope it works for others.
And yeah the whole Digital ID/AI thing is a concern. Cash is disappearing, surveillance is off the hook; seems like they're determined to create their technocractic NWO scenario.

Thanks for sharing this. I tried it (for my version there were some files i could not find) in combination with adding inbound and outbound rules in my firewall and it works fine now as long as I do not have internet connection (which is a bummer). I hope this helps others as well and lets hope for a permanent solution in the future.
