Locked Copying Hard drive?

I am trying to find out if anyone knows a good app for copying a hard drive? I have a dying hard drive and want to copy all the stuff to my new drive and have apps and games that i am hoping i dont have to reinstall. Thanks.

I've used this with no problems, and its quite quick as well. Pretty much any of the modern backup software is decent universally across machines.

I use the same as @TheMacGyver, with excellent results, provided that the HD we are going to clone is with all its clusters in good working order.

Yep I've had good luck with Aomei too. I use the "system backup" function though not the "cloning" function. I'm guessing you have a HDD because SSDs die without warning. Good luck. Make sure you have the boot disk/ drive ready
