Awesome! Just installed this and I forgot HOW HELPFUL this software is when opening many folders ESPECIALLY when using Dopus with VoidTools' "Everything" file indexer search program.
I've added a command to "Everything" so when I right-click a folder or file found in "Everything," I get an "Explore path" option which opens the parent folder of the selected file in a new Dopus tab. Fantastic!
To make Dopus open paths from within "Everything," open Everything and go to: Tools, Options, Context Menu and select Explore Path which is not visible to the right click context menu by default. Make it visible using the radio button promising this.
In the command field you will see:
$exec("%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe" /n,/e,/select,"%1")
That's the default. Copy it some place for a backup then DELETE IT.
Now paste this in its place:
$exec("C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopusrt.exe" /acmd everything FILEPATH="$pathpart(%1)" FILENAME="$namepart(%1)")
Of course, your Dopus install path may vary.
WORKS GREAT. If you want to also bring Dopus to the forefront, use this command instead (I haven't tested it but the developer of Everything posted it on the VoidTools site).
$exec("C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopusrt.exe" /acmd Go NEWTAB PATH "%1")
Lastly, just to be safe, I wrote the following in my C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file:
(domain extensions omitted below to avoid breaking Team OS rules but google the parts supplied and you'll find them. By TLD I mean the de, com or au country domain suffixes.)
127.0.0.1 jam software (german tld)
127.0.0.1 www gp soft ware (australian tld)
127.0.0.1 gp soft ware (same tld but no www a-name)
This redirects any outreach to Dopus home base to your loopback address. I bought Dopus before and I'll buy it again. So should you.
Thanks to Mirkec for this incredibly useful tool! He's helpful that way
