F-Secure Freedom VPN - Trial has expired

I was using F-secure Freedom VPN on Windows 10. I must have downloaded from one of the links on this site.

For some strange reasons, even though it was set to auto reset on startup, the trial has expired.
I tried reinstalling but that did not help. I even downloaded latest v 2.54 but that also does not help.

It seems deep inside hidden registry settings it has recorded that trial has expired and now any reset or reinstall does not help.
I know, reformatting system partition and clean install will work, but is there any other solution? Thanks

Thanks. I do not remember from which thread I downloaded, I guess it was some direct download option not a torrent and must have been a few months ago. so I have placed under general Help & request section.

look in the installation folder for Freset.exe and run it. it looks like it has been removed from the startup event.

Use another free VPN and open the trial reset; it will work!

Thanks all for your inputs. Well I decided to do a clean install of Windows 10 and all is good now. However this time I have created a backup image of system drive so that if in future any such issue arises I will simply be able to restore working win10 image from backup.
I will however keep your suggestions in mind and try those first if the issue comes back in future, before doing image restore...just in case.

Sometimes a clean install takes less time and headaches than finding a (possible) solution.

Now I have system image as mentioned in earlier post and on my SSD it takes less than 15 minutes to restore everything!!
