This activation method works, but it's a bit janky switching from our pre-activated version to the one i'm linking because it uses a completely different activation method.
The leftovers from the pre-activated install might affect the activation for
Mirkec 's IDM Medicines. It took me a few attemps for the Medicines to work. I'm still not sure exactly what steps I did to get it to work since I shotgunned various solutions.
When using the new Medicines, it first asks you for a username, put in whatever your windows account username is C:\Users\[your account name here], then select the activate option. The Medicines will open up the IDM download page as part of this activation process.
If you check the IDM window after this process under Help > About IDM, you should see that the product is now licensed to [your account name here], with serial N54N3-N5, at some point IDM will attempt to verify this serial and it'll give you a popup that says you got a fake serial, leave the popup window up (don't cancel the message), head back into the IDM AIO Medicines that you initially used to activate IDM and select the "remove popup" option. If its successful then you're clear from here on out.
However, this step failed for me the first time. The Medicines reported that I wasn't activated eventhough IDM reported that I was (albeit with a fake serial).
I exited IDM and navigated to C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Download Manager\
Copy and pasted "idmBroker.exe" into the same folder and renamed the copy to "IDMGrHlp.exe" (you'll have to delete/move the existing IDMGrHlp.exe to do this)
Afterwards, opening IDM will fail, the program will prompt you to register your copy and show a form to input your name/serial/etc.
I left this form open and went back into the IDM AIO Medicines and selected the Activation option. It seems by corrupting the build, IDM gives you a clean slate for the AIO Medicines to work. Goodluck lol
