Locked issue with Mp3 music on car

I have plenty of USB with music on my car, but once in a while the car won't detect "new USB's " with new music... but the usb get recognized by my computers, play station and blu ray player fine....

is there's a software to re-rip the mp3 or that will reconvert them and by pass this issue???
I own a Chevy but had same issues with a Ford
issue occurs with music downloaded from the web or ripped from cds!!

I don't have a car and don't know the device for listening to music but... You said has been working. So the problem is not with the files. Software problem (most probabily - update/reset). Or hardware problem.

yeah I had to my old one was making a weird "kick" noise from the turbo's or transmission!

Maybe the new usb stick has to be a specific format type??

make sure the memory stick is formatted fat 32 and not exFAT or NTFS ........that is the most common prob most memory sticks seem to be formatted exFAT........... hope this helps

100% agreed on this! I experienced this kind of issue before, I just reformat my flash drive from NTFS to FAT32,

Also a good ideea, to delete all old partitions and reformat a usb stick using dedicated software (easeus, paragon, acronis etc.) if it ever had an os boot drive created in a non standard way (windows install cd created with rufus and certain options ticked or whatever) on it or any bootable tools (hiren, ventoy, linux live cds etc.)

I am saying this because, in certain configurations, more than one partition will be created on the drive, and the car software/firmware may be confused and detect the "hidden" partition with no option to change to the other.

another suggestion is to check if your flash drive's partition table. check if its mbr or gpt. if it's gpt, it may not recognized so try to switch it to mbr, there are available applications that can convert from gpr to mbr, vice versa.

Just a guess may be the car audio player software does not recognize certain bit rate or certain vbr which is present in certain mp3 files. ideally should not be the case but I guess the software may not be as feature rich as winamp or windows audio players or like that.
Try ripping the same cd with constant bit rate using free tool like cdex or any other choice of your app and experiment with constant bitrate values and check again.
also as suggested may be it's time to buy a new pen drive!

make sure the usb you using has a Master Boot Record partition map or it won’t read the files, even though they are correct files and in the correct disk format.

I will waiting on wife to get home.... to try on fat32 I tried NTFS! lol kind of like my dating life before my wife, I always picked the wrong one.... ha ha ha
