From what I read this is a preactivated version so a readme file would not be necessary.
But keep in mind that this thread is more than 2 years old, some things may have changed...
Notwithstanding this, check the Windows host file to see if there are MB servers blocked and, under your strict responsibility, deactivate the AV you use, including Windows/MicrosoftDefender, before installing.

The procedure I followed and it works:
Uninstallation of MB with "Argente Utilities (free)" which uninstalls while leaving no trace.
Reboot.
Disabling Windows Defender.
Then install this MB.
Update without problem.

Hi everyone. I need some help with this prog. It installs fine when the drive for the install is C:.
I have a multiple boot system with 4 OSs and it installed OK twice when the drive was C:.
BUT for some reason one OS when running has the letter V:. And in this case Malwarebytes 4.0.4 silent install doesn't work. Doesn't work when installed from the OS drive which is V:. Doesn't work when installed from the C: drive which is another OS. Doesn't work when installed from a data drive, not OS.
SO now my question. Is it safe to change the drive letters of the C: and V: drives in Computer Management? To have V: become C: and hopefully install Malwarebytes Premium.
And change back after install to previous state before rebooting?
Thanks for any help on this issue. If I'm not clear enough ask me for some more details.

It just crossed my mind that if I change C: for any free letter and then want to change V: for C: there will be a major problem with all the progs currently running on V. Right?

I'm following readme and watchme, but i can't run licensemalwarebytes.exe in cmd with admin rights, while the exe is set to run as admin as per guide, and i still get error 740: the requested operation requires elevation i.e. admin rights, which are all set. ran cmd as admin and previously set exe in properties to run as admin and still 740, tried a few tips here

and still nothing. First just ran exe before figuring you need to do it in cmd, would be cool if that worked, but this whole ordeal has outelevated me. Guess i'll stick with 14 days of trial with this and get back to win defendor

There seems to be some kind of confusion. Version 4.0.4 has a silent installer. No need to use licensemalwarebytes.exe. This is version 4.2.0.82 (
