I'm looking to buy a NAS with 4 bays for my PLEX media server. Could someone "in the know" suggest a reliable but not too expensive brand/model? My house is cabled with a LAN connection in each room and I have four western digital 4TB harddrives.

Thank you any advice and help!

I'd also say it depends on what you are planning on doing with it, and the amount of media you are playing with.
I have an 8th gen I7, 64 gigs of ram, with 2 TB SSD, A AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT and 15, 12 TB hard drives hooked up to it, as my home media server.
I have the video card in it for transcoding on the fly.
Here's proof.
But, truth be told, I used my OLD PC to make this build, and a friend gave me the graphics card, when he "outgrew" it.
You can run a decent PlexServer off of a raspberry pi and an external hard drive.
