PDQ Inventory is a comprehensive systems management tool designed to scan Windows computers and help to collect valuable information about the resources of machines, processes, applications, services, drivers, hardware components alike and Windows configuration data of user system. It allows Windows admins to know the software and hardware installed on their computers.
The program packs several utilities that can help a user manage the resources more efficiently, such as Run Command, Wake, VNC, Event Viewer, Manage with MMC, Remote Assistant or Reboot/Shutdown. Therefore, learning about app errors, system errors, crashes, TCP/IP congestion or the programs that need updates is faster and more efficient. The application enables a user to add custom scripts to the processes as mentioned earlier. Consequentially, a user can keep a better an eye on a process, service or application that is problematic. In addition to scripts, the user can also include other third-party application that the user has previously used to monitor resources.
The data gathered about the processes, services, hardware or applications running on the computer are delivered to the user in the form of comprehensive reports on the data it tracks. A user can generate a report by using the existing filters or even SQL, if necessary. Needless to say that the logs include detailed information about all these apps, updates and runtimes. Furthermore, the tool supports PDQ Deploy integration and user can employ the tool to detect the PCs that are out of date and update it directly from the app once the deployment is launched. As a side note, the developer recommends that the updates be performed when a machine is going from the offline to the online mode.

- Open in File Explorer hyperlink is now working as intended;
- Using Member of a Collection in a report now accurately pulls the correct collection membership;
- Collections no longer display 'Membership Updating' indefinitely when used in conjunction with Agents;
- Last Scan Profile no longer occasionally displays incorrect information;
- Running a Wake-on-LAN from a Client console works as expected without errors;
- If the connection is lost with a scan target, the Scan Status will now display 'Connection Lost' instead of staying on 'Returning Data';
- Scans run against unavailable Internal Agents fall back to a standard scan instead of staying on 'Waiting for Agent';
- The Services page of the Computer window authenticates with the Scan User;
- The Current User Display Name no longer returns a blank value after scanning;
- Disk Drive Serial Numbers are now using two different methods to obtain a value for more accurate reporting;
- Uptime and Boot Time now reflect accurately based on the time zone of the console computer.
- Network Discovery:
- Ignores responses that come back from a different IP address than the expected one;
- No longer leaves the IP address as the hostname if it can be resolved with a scan;
- Local Tools no longer open and leave an IPC connection to the target;
- Reports using CPU L3 Cache as a filter are now working correctly;
- The Agent is no longer preventing the installation of Windows 7 updates KB4467106 and KB4467107.

OS: Microsoft Windows Vista, 7, 8x, 10, or Server 2008x, Server 2012x, Server 2016x (both 32 & 64-bit);
RAM: 8 GB - Console machine (16 GB recommended) and 4 GB - Target machines;
HDD: SSD Highly recommended for Console machine;
.NET 4.5.2 (4.6 recommended).
