Second Copy® is the perfect automatic backup software designed for Windows 10 and also works with previous versions of Windows. It makes a backup of user data files to another directory, internal or external hard disk, or a computer across the network. Second Copy® monitors the source files and keeps the backup updated with new or changed files. It runs in the background with no user interaction. So, once it is set up, user always have a backup of its data somewhere else.
As the name implies, Second Copy makes a "second copy" of user files. The application does not copy files in any proprietary format. Therefore a user can quickly restore files and folders onto any Windows PC, even if it does not have Second Copy installed. Widely used since its original release in 1989, Second Copy is stable, reliable, and fast. Second Copy includes the ability to copy open files, support for Unicode, and the ability to copy files and folders with long names. Second Copy works with all of the drives, including local hard disks, network hard drives, external USB removable drives, thumb drives, flash drives, floppies, Jaz, and Zip drives, CD-R/RWs and DVD-R/RW.
At work, Second Copy simplifies moving data from user local drive to the network drive. At home, the user can transfer files and folders from laptop to desktop, or just use the software to regularly back up valuable data files such as documents, music, photos, and emails. The wizard walks a user through every option and explains choices in simple English. The built-in scheduler lets the user make regular backups without having to babysit the process each time. It can even copy files that are open and being used at the time the backup takes place.
Second Copy includes support for Unicode characters, built-in FTP support, secure 256-bit AES encryption, and e-m a i l notification after running the backup. The program can ignore files that are newer or older than a particular date or a specified number of days. Second Copy can be set up to run as a service. In addition to running the program automatically, the user can preview each backup profile before building the backup archive. Users can even run Second Copy from the Windows command line.
