SmoothScroll for Windows

SmoothScroll is a VERY useful program that makes any Windows scroll (not just the browser) very fluid.
The problem is that the author asks for a yearly subscription instead of a one payment option. Even then, I've been paying for years, and the author is a total douche that gives horrible support and doesn't fix any problems with the software (on a 2 display setup it locks the scroll when you remove the primary display and the secondary becomes the primary), so I would prefer not to keep giving money to this douche that is being sitting on this program for years doing nothing at all to improve it.

I've been looking for this software for YEARS, and only found it here:

So... does a version of SmoothScroll even exist? why is nobody aware of it or interested? 🤔

I couldn't find any other alternative either. There are a couple of Chrome extensions and a Logitech software 'smooth' feature but they are all shit compared to SmoothScroll's fluidity...

How much time have you been using this release?

I already had that file posted by @Alessia_Amelia , but it's not properly cracked. The program still checks the license randomly and disables itself. If you use a firewall and it can't connect to verify the license, it also disables itself.

This mofo knew well what he was doing with his DRM code.

You can also check in the Registry how the Updates are activated.

If you change that 'CheckForUpdates' value to 0, the program automatically changes it to 1 at every launch.

It just happened again after I reinstalled this once more.It's been less than an hour and it already just automatically showed up the License window:

and stopped working at all.

You can close it and load it again, and it will keep doing it sooner than later.

You can see at Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SmoothScroll in the registry how it changes the 'kSSHasValidLicense' from 1 to 0. And it doesn't matter if you manually change it back to 1. It will keep detecting the license is not valid.

Have you tried editing the unins000.dat file to NOT reduce the license time step ?

Hi @Elzer , I would be in your debt if you could share your version for us all. I never even knew this program existed until now, and thankfully @milincho informed us of the dev's behavior so as to not support them in a fiscal manner.
