• Added new keyboard shortcuts when clicking to expand or collapse areas in the sidebar:

• Cmd+click: Expand or collapse all areas at once.

• Cmd+Opt+click: Expand clicked area and collapse others (i.e., focus on just one area).

• Restored support for Force Touch when dragging an item into a project or area in the sidebar (press again while dragging to enter the list).

• Enforce consistent use of the Gregorian calendar system.

• Fixed some graphical glitches when expanding to-dos.

• Fixed some superfluous animations when adding a new project from within an area.

• Fixed some superfluous animations with projects' progress rings in the sidebar.

• Fixed a crash that occurred when dragging a mixed selection of repeating and non-repeating projects onto the sidebar.

Things has been updated for macOS 14 Sonoma. Widgets are now interactive and you can add them to your desktop!


WIDGETS ON THE DESKTOP

Once you’ve updated to macOS 14, you can place Things’ widgets on your desktop. Choose from a variety of widget sizes, including two new extra-large ones. Plus, you can now complete to-dos directly in the widgets.

To add Things’ widgets to your desktop, simply right-click on the desktop and choose Edit Widgets.

Also note that you can change how the widgets look by going to System Settings > Desktop & Dock > Widgets.
