uefi password on a new laptop

hello.
this is the first time that i ask for help.
i get a new asus vivobook with out windows installd.
i installd windows by myself and after that i wanted to go to the BIOS
after i hit any F2 or any F key a popup UEFI PASSWORD window.
i didnt setup any password and sumetimes after restart it popup again.
is there any thing that i can do?

@xasixd try looking on the backside from this asus vivobook :)
normal it should stand there or in the documents when it is a NEW one that you have buyed ...
otherwise you can also try admin / administrator :) " you never know if that is working "

thank you. they are so many numbers and letters but nothing works.
even all the ones on the laptop box

try to remove the CMOS battery. put it back in after 30 seconds. this could remove the password for the BIOS / UEFI.

From everything I've read online about your ASUS Vivobook and your UEFI BIOS, you are on the right track. A search with the term "How to reset UEFI BIOS on ASUS Vivobook" netted this...
  1. Boot while while pressing/holding F2 to get into the BIOS / UEFI.
  2. When the enter password window appears then press Alt + r.
  3. Enter rescue password window will appear, with YYYY-MM-DD.
  4. Enter the date into form field below and press Send Request button.


Edit: @PasMater's answer is better as it expands on mine. I'd suggest you follow along with that one. (Stoggie)

i did try all that. not working :{
