Dear Gen2: I shelled out the money for ntlite and have spent some months customizing and running various windows builds.
Sometimes they bluescreen after the install during first boot and this is upsetting but not due to your builds, just the nature of things.
I enjoy how pure and straightforward your releases are, and rely on them with confidence when experimenting.
You might want to check for and purge log files from your releases as sometimes I find traces of your windows account.
I've always tried to use customized windows builds as much as possible. Running a vanilla stock RS5 was so laggy and is so slow the difference is visible.
In the past, I have moved between/experimented with win7 , 8.1 embedded industry, server 2008, server 2012, windows 10 ltsb, and server 2016.
Your work has made it possible for me to try many different kinds of windows that microsoft doesn't want the user using, for their own purposes,
but as we ALL well know, we'd rather prefer. If only there were hackers releasing modded twinui files that kill off dependencies so blackbird was more effective..
I would like to ask when you might be able release an image of the following windows editions:
Windows Server 2019 (currently in GA, skipped rtm, are we waiting till spring OEM release?)
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise Fall 2018 release (EPKEA only apparently)
Sincerely yours, a fan.
Dear Gen2..
Sincerely yours, a fan.
I should add that I have found server builds to be the most compatible/least violently resistant to heavy customization.
I was able to get a server 2016 build trimmed down through ntlite to install in 8 minutes, and after tweaking, to run in 968mb of ram with an 8 second boot.
The driver compatibility suffered somewhat and there were some usability compromises, but it was pretty nice.
