After all my fuss with Win10 I switched back to Win7, now running this Blue Core edition.
It's working nicely.
Feedback:
At first when I installed it (from the Preactivated image) the loader executed nicely
without any problems. But after the first run of Windows I looked at the system properties
and saw the "
30 days to activate" notice at the bottom of that window...
...no problem... if any of you should encounter that Activation notice, here is a solution:
Use the Loader that is included in the
Windows 7 Crux edition.
(
This is why it's a good idea to download and keep a few TeamOS Windows OSes handy)
How to do that?
First, download the Windows 7 Crux edition and burn it to DVD...
Then, place the Win7 Crux DVD into the drive and open it to view its folders...
Go to the $$OEM$$ folder, and into the $$ folder and search for the Crux loader,
it is an .exe file
(I'm away from home right now, trying to memorize the folder location)......
......the Crux loader is inside one of those folders, copy it to your main hard-drive folder
and run it with Admin Rights... as it is running it will detect the Blue Core's
activation key and display it to you (copy it into Notepad and keep that file,
or write it down on a CD sleeve). Do not mess with any of the setting in the loader,
just click "install" and the loader will change the Blue Core's activation to
a genuine product key... there, now your Blue Core is activated.
Summary:
I like this edition. It's easy on system resources, and it will also allow you to run
x86 programs in it (from the
Programs x86 folder).
The only other problem I have is the BSOD, because of my graphics card.
I have its driver installed, but of course my graphics card is a refurbished model.
(
Note: NEVER buy "refurbished" hardware!).
But that issue is for a different discussion topic for another day.
I highly recommend this Blue Core edition if you like it.
Thanks to TomeCar and Axeswy for this awesome Win7 OS!
