Verify if your network adapter is disabled:
- Windows device manager will display "Error code 22" when a device is disabled.
- Red X mark on the adapter in device manger.
- The Wireless network connection icon shows disabled in the network connections.
Troubleshooting steps on Windows XP:
- Click Start, right-click My Computer, select Properties, click Hardware tab, and click Device Manager.
- Expand Network Adapters category on Device Manager. If you see an adapter with a red cross (X) mark, it indicates that the adapter is disabled.
- Double click the adapter and check the device status under General Tab.
To enable the device:
- Click Enable Device.
- Click Next to continue.
- Click Finish.
- Check the adapter is installed in the device manager properly.
- Once the adapter is enabled you should be able to use this device.
- Have fun and enjoy
