WinRAR is one of the most famous archivers. The fact that it supports archiving in RAR format does not need to be explained. In addition, the program can work with ZIP, CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZ, BZIP, JAR, UUE, GZIP, BZIP2 and 7-Zip archives, while it has many very useful features - encryption, support for continuous (solid) archives, in which the compression ratio can be 10 - 50% higher than with conventional compression methods, a special algorithm for compressing multimedia files, support for multi-volume archives, and much more.

1. Fixed errors:
a) updating the encrypted file in the complete RAR archive led toarchive damage if the updated file was the first in the archive,
when the update was started, the password was not specified, and the file namefile name encryption in the updated archive was not included;

b) WinRAR 7.00 crash after switching to « View flat folders »from the archive subfolder;

c) the -ep4 key duplicated the specified path instead of excluding itwhen retrieving;

d) if the archive created by the Unix version of RAR contained syllables withpath separators in the target paths,
then these characters could bewhen modifying such an archive using Windows RAR;

e) WinRAR error messages displayed an invalid file name when renaming and executing files.in WinRAR error messages;

f) SFX « Shortcut » did not recognize empty parametersdefined as « Shortcut = D, » «, folder », while she correctly
recognizedsuch parameters without quotation marks, for example « Shortcut = D ,, folder »;

g) the recovery of the volume did not work at WinRAR.exe if the command « rc »was indicated with the .rev file,
for example, « WinRAR rc arc.part1.rev ».Unlike RAR, WinRAR only requires the use of the .rar file name here.
